Things got intertwined and I started putting them together, into a method that helps reaching emotional balance, the FSTR method - Five Steps To Relief
For several years now I have been implementing the method in a variety of institutions, organizations, with parents, children, educatiors and care professionals

Everything I have learned during my personal and professional life, all the knowledge and experience, are geared to support the community. For years I explored the world of emotion, as a person and a therapist. After receiving knowledge from the world of the body as well, I connected with it and then a wonderful thing happened

The FSTR method course is a seven session course, so people can acquire the knowledge, learn, experience the language of emotional balance. And use it ! For personal well-being and well-being of others: in the family, community. The course was approved by Israeli Ministry of Education - Plan # 20263 in database.

When I started to teach the knowledge, I realized that it is very deep and vast. I discovered that in order for people to be able to understand the language of the method, I should teach it with all the professional knowledge it contains. That way people can internalize it and use it

scenario in an organization
Imagine a situation where there is a department in your organization and a room where people are working together on a project. They are supposed to be on the same team and cooperate, but each of them sees the other as a competitor and they struggle to cope with the pressure. In addition, there are also personal things that they are dealing with, that affect them, whether theirs personally or related to home and family
So they act out of distress, anxiety, a feeling that their place is not safe, from this place they will not cooperate and may even try to sabotage the processes and the project will not progress

Case story and recommendation on the FSTR method
A mother came to me and saught help for her daughter, that was experiencing restlessness. she described a situatio in which her daughter is having a hard time, and her behavior changes the atmosphere at home and the mother is helpless. I talked to her about the five-step FSTR method for relaxation that I had created, she was fascinated and we arranged to meet several times. In the meetings I taught her the steps and we practiced them. At the certain point I asked her to start using the method with her daughter and she did so.
Then one day, she enthusiastically shared:
Dear Shira, I want to thank you, my daughter told me about an unpleasant feeling in her body. I talked to her about the steps and she listened and repeated them in the method. She was very attentive, interested, she is 7 years old. It seems like it opened something inside of her and helped her. Now she is calmer! wow.
From now on, every time something bothers her, we will go through the steps, so that she can feel better. Thank you for the wonderful knowledge you taught us! Connecting to the body and emotion and doing the five steps really helps! We will continue with the method for sure and also recommend you to others.

Case story about using FSTR method and its' result
I will share about working with a boy, we will call him Yoav, I worked with him in short-term therapy. I still remember his look. This child destroyed his kindergarten. He was perceived by everyone as an unexpected, turbulent child, with many difficulties. His parents reached a point where they could not handle him and did not set boundaries. When I was taking care of him, we talked about how he felt when he was overwhelmed and then I started using the FSTR method with him
In the body connection section, he shared that when he is overwhelmed, he feels his heart racing, that in fact he himself became a raging heart. Here he checked where in the body there is a part that belongs to a "rampant" and to my request, in a drawing on paper, he painted where it is in the bodys' organs. Then, came the phase of proportion.
I reminded him that his heart was indeed raging and stormy and maybe also his stomach. But the feeling, according to him, does not exist in his head, nor in his legs and hands. And in general, his name isn't Yoav the Rampant !
Then I reminded him that he is also a boy with a big heart, has joy, creativity and wisdom. When I mentioned his strengths, positive things, he raised his head and looked at me in amazement and listened. I could only imagine that for a long time, everyone called him unpleasant names, experienced him as negative, bad, destructive. And this is probably how he also experiences himself. And then I came and saw that it was only a part of him and not who he really is. I reminded him that he has other qualities and that he is good in his own right. Everyone forgot that, and so did he.
After that, I instructed the parents and the kindergarten teacher on how to use the method with him, as well as on matters of emotional regulation. That way they would help him at home as well as in kindergarten. In addition, I recommended that he go to an occupational clinic to receive tools and support for his difficulties in the field of sensory regulation. Later it was reported to me that he is much calmer, able to participate in activities and has positive experiences
